Wedding Guide | Christ Fellowship Church
Christ Fellowship

Congratulations on your engagement! As you are planning your wedding, the most important thing you can do as a couple is to prepare for your marriage. Our process will help you prepare, not just for an event, but for the rest of your lives together!

Should you have any questions after reviewing the Next Steps and the Frequently Asked Questions, please contact our team at marriedpeople@christfellowship.church.

Next Steps

Step 1: Complete the Wedding Inquiry Form

Provide general information on your wedding plans, and our Wedding Coordinator will follow up with details regarding available venues, pastors, and dates. Prices vary based on the venue and services requested. If you would like to request a Christ Fellowship pastor to officiate your wedding at an offsite location, our Wedding Coordinator will connect to provide information regarding availability and fees.

Step 2: Register for a Prep for Marriage Class

Every couple completes the Prep for Marriage class when they plan to be married by a Christ Fellowship pastor - whether you plan to be married at one of the Christ Fellowship venues or at an offsite location.

This fun, interactive 6-week class focuses on what the Bible says about having a healthy marriage. Topics include: compatibility, communication, conflict, finances, in-laws, and developing spiritual and sexual intimacy. There is a $50 fee for participant manuals and the SYMBIS online marriage assessment. By completing the class, you may also receive a discount on your marriage license.

Classes are offered periodically throughout the year and fill quickly. Please register for open classes or let your campus team know of your interest using the Christ Fellowship Class Finder as soon as possible.

SYMBIS (Save Your Marriage Before It Starts) Marriage Assessment

During the class, you’ll complete the SYMBIS online assessment to help you get to know your future spouse even better and develop tools to foster a strong marriage relationship. Your class leaders will provide coaching and will review the SYMBIS results with you.

Step 3: Plan Your Wedding

Once you complete the Prep for Marriage Class, the Wedding Coordinator will connect you with a Christ Fellowship pastor who will meet with you to get to know you and hear more about the plans for your wedding.

Frequently Asked Questions for our Wedding Venues

What is included in the Wedding Fees at Christ Fellowship?
The Wedding Coordinator will provide details on fees which are based upon the venue and the services requested.

Wedding Fees include the Wedding Rehearsal as well as the Ceremony.

A Full Service Wedding includes the following staffing:

  • A Wedding Coordinator
  • An Officiating Pastor
  • Media Support
  • Facilities Support

A Casual Wedding includes all of the staff support listed above with the exception of Media Support.

How do we reserve a venue/date and pay wedding fees?

The Wedding Coordinator will review the church calendar to help determine an available venue and date. A link will be provided via email for payment of a non-refundable $100 deposit which will hold the venue and secure the officiating pastor for the wedding. The venue/date will not be guaranteed until the deposit is received.

The link will also be used to make the final payment (due no later than 2 weeks prior to the wedding date). Christ Fellowship reserves the right to cancel ceremonies for which final payment has not been received prior to this deadline. If the wedding is canceled, all monies will be refunded except the $100 deposit.

Pastors

It is required that a Christ Fellowship pastor officiate all wedding ceremonies held at our venues. The Wedding Coordinator can assist you in selecting a pastor from our staff to officiate your wedding.

Pastors will typically meet with the couple twice prior to the ceremony - once to review the SYMBIS marriage assessment and once to plan the ceremony. If you would like to include a pastor from an outside church or ministry in your ceremony, the Christ Fellowship pastor will serve as the primary officiant and coordinate details on the role of the second pastor. If a pastor is requested to officiate an offsite wedding, the fee will be based on proximity to the pastor's home campus. Our goal is to accommodate requests for officiants but this may be limited by driving distance. Distances beyond two hours would be an exception and may require additional fees to cover travel costs.
