The Special Needs Ministry exists to provide a place of belonging and accessibility for those with disabilities and their families. Our caring staff members, volunteers, and in-person and virtual programs are designed to aid children and adults with disabilities, as we share the love and message of Jesus.
Serve your local disabled community by helping with a donation/collection campaign for wheelchairs, walkers, crutches, and canes. We maintain a "lending closet" to assist individuals who cannot otherwise afford them. Donors drop wheelchairs off at the Hand of Hope Center, and those in need may check them out for as long as needed.
On a global level, we partner with Joni and Friends International Disability Ministry (joniandfriends.org) to collect and refurbish those same items. From there, we send them to developing countries to distribute to those in need at no cost.
