The weekend doesn't have to end. Keep Talking on your own or with a group.
Start Talking - Find conversation starters for the group or with a friend.
- Why do you think people like buying new things?
- When you hear the words “Holy Spirit” what ideas or thoughts come to your mind?
Keep Reading – Read the Scripture and ask a question to get the group thinking.
Read these Scriptures out loud:
Acts 2:37
When the people heard this, they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, "Brothers, what shall we do?”
- How does this verse reflect the importance of community?
Acts 2:41a
They accepted the message and were baptized.
- What is the significance of the order of accepting the message and then being baptized?
Keep Talking – Choose questions to create openness.
1. I Believe in Easter
- How does our baptism give a picture of Easter to the world?
- What is baptism's relationship to the decision to follow Jesus?
2. Out with the Old - In with the New
- What does it mean for the power of sin to be broken in our lives?
- How can we encourage and support each other as we continue in the process of dying to our old sins and instead walk in the new life in Christ?
3. I Follow Jesus
- What does it mean to identify with Jesus?
- Why is it significant that although our faith is personal, it is not private?
Keep Moving/Going – Commit to a step and live it out this week.
- Beyond baptism, what are some practical ways our lives can declare that we follow Jesus?
- Pick one of this week’s key Scriptures and make it a reminder in your phone. Spend a few minutes repeating it and thinking about it each day.
- S.O.A.P out the Scripture this week.
