In this message, Pastor Todd started a new series based on his new book, “Don’t Let Doubt Take You Out.” He shared how doubt can become a catalyst for deeper faith, stronger relationships, and a more fulfilling life. Use this guide to keep talking about Sunday’s sermon.

  • Pastor Todd just wrote a book about overcoming doubt. If you could write a book about anything, what would it be?

  • How would you describe yourself in three words? 
    • Do you believe those words align with what God says about you? 
  • When was the last time you felt intimidated, insecure, or overwhelmed by doubt? How did you work through it? 
  • Doubt can impact the way we view ourselves, the way we see God, and the way we interact with others. What kind of doubt have you struggled with most (e.g., doubting yourself, doubting God, or doubting others)? 
  • Pastor Todd taught us that stepping out in faith can feel a lot like stepping out in doubt. Consider your past experiences—what steps of faith have you taken and how was doubt present for those steps? 
  • Read Judges 6:14. Where is God sending you right now in the strength you have?
