Replacing Fear & Doubt | Keep Talking
Don't Let Doubt Take You Out | Week 1
Christ Fellowship Team
February 16, 2025
In this message, Pastor Todd started a new series based on his new book, “Don’t Let Doubt Take You Out.” He shared how doubt can become a catalyst for deeper faith, stronger relationships, and a more fulfilling life. Use this guide to keep talking about Sunday’s sermon.
SERMON HIGHLIGHTS
- Doubt can work for our good when it causes us to be dependent on God.
- Doubt can lead to deeper faith.
- The way God sees you is different than the way you see you.
- The truest thing about you is what God says about you.
- Gideon cared more about what God said to him than what others said about him.
KEY SCRIPTURES
START TALKING
- Pastor Todd just wrote a book about overcoming doubt. If you could write a book about anything, what would it be?
KEEP TALKING
- How would you describe yourself in three words?
- Do you believe those words align with what God says about you?
- When was the last time you felt intimidated, insecure, or overwhelmed by doubt? How did you work through it?
- Doubt can impact the way we view ourselves, the way we see God, and the way we interact with others. What kind of doubt have you struggled with most (e.g., doubting yourself, doubting God, or doubting others)?
- Pastor Todd taught us that stepping out in faith can feel a lot like stepping out in doubt. Consider your past experiences—what steps of faith have you taken and how was doubt present for those steps?
- Read Judges 6:14. Where is God sending you right now in the strength you have?
KEEP IT GOING
- Our church is committing to spend the next six weeks kicking out doubt and growing in our faith together. We believe one of the greatest steps you could take in this season is joining a Don’t Let Doubt Take You Out study group or class. Sign up today!
PRAYER
Father, thank you for seeing the best in us. We don’t want doubt to hold us back from you or anything you have prepared for us. Help us to step out in faith and follow you—and as we take steps of faith, please strengthen us for the road ahead. Amen.
