• Have you ever received an unexpected gift? What was your reaction?
• Has someone asked you to do something that they weren’t willing to do themselves? How did that affect how you viewed the situation?

Read these Scriptures out loud:

John 3:16

“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life."

• What does the fact that God is a giver tell us about how we should live?
  

2 Corinthians 9:11

“You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.”

• How can we develop habits in our everyday lives to be generous on every occasion?
  
• How can we give in ways that result in thanksgiving to God? 

Keep Talking – Choose questions to create openness.

1. God Gives Cheerfully

• Why does God care about our attitude when we give? 
• How can someone become a cheerful giver?

2. God Gives Generously

• Pastor Todd reminded us that generosity is more of a state of mind than a state of money.
• How can we be generous no matter how much money we have?

3. God Gives Sacrificially

• What does sacrificial giving look like?
• In what ways is sacrificial giving counter-cultural?

Keep Moving/Going – Commit to a step and live it out this week. 

• What is one thing you could do this week to give more like God gives?
• Pick one of this week’s key Scripture and make it a reminder in your phone. Spend a few minutes repeating it and thinking about it each day. 
• S.O.A.P out the Scripture this week.
