Verses

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. (Matthew 5:4)

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)

Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. (Psalm 23:4)

The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. (Psalm 34:18)

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. (Matthew 11:28-30)

Declaration

When I am distressed or mourning, I turn to God. I come to Jesus because He is what I really need. He is my strength, my fortress, and my refuge. There is a time for mourning, but then there is a time for joy and hope! I know God is with me, will comfort me, and will heal me each day.
