7 Benefits of Perseverance in Prayer
How persistence in prayer strengthens our faith.
Tom Mullins
Do you ever feel weary in your prayer life? In Luke 18:1, Jesus tells us to “Keep on praying and never give up.” Jesus knew we would need to guard against discouragement when we didn’t see our prayers answered right away. But when we submit to God’s timing and persevere in prayer, we will reap a harvest if we don’t give up (Galatians 6:9). Let’s take a look at what God’s Word tells us about how persistence in prayer impacts our lives and strengthens our faith.

Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

2 Kings 6:17
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
